Hi, I'm Neyssa

It is easy to think that once you have had maternity photos for your first child, that you don’t need a maternity session for each pregnancy. However, I offer a few things to consider for why you should have a maternity session for each pregnancy.

There is something so special about this time just before your family grows.

You are excited about the upcoming arrival, yet you want to cherish those last days before your family dynamic changes forever.

You will want to document how your kids loved each other from the very beginning.

The way your son would give baby brother kisses in your tummy is something you will never regret having documented. Down the road you can show your kids how they loved each other from the very start.

Mama, pregnancy is hard, but you are glowing.

I know that pregnancy can be tough. You may feel huge and uncomfortable, but trust me, you are stunning. A woman’s body does such amazing things as it grows and sustains life, and while you are in it, you may not feel your best. But looking back you can see how amazing your body was, how much it transformed, and even how it transformed differently (or maybe in the same way) with each pregnancy.

Kids love to see themselves in mama’s tummy.

Kids can be vain, can’t they be? They love looking at photos of themselves, and love seeing themselves when they were inside mama’s tummy. This is not a bad thing at all, either. Because studies show that kids seeing themselves in family portraits boost their self esteem. One psychologist, Judy Weiser, put it this way, “When a child sees a family portrait with them included in the photograph they say to themselves:  ‘These people have me as part of what they are, that’s why I belong here. This is where I come from.’”

In the end, it is about documenting your family as you are right now. And that is always worth doing.

Please enjoy a few from a session with this family of 3, just before they became a family of 4.  As this mama is now currently snuggling her newest addition, I can guarantee she is so glad she took the time to have this pregnancy documented.
