My last session before Hudson arrived was taking classic newborn girl photos for this amazing family. There is something about taking newborn photos while you’re expecting that makes you extra anxious and excited to meet your own bundle of joy. This session was no different. This mom and dad were so calm and laid back during their session, it was such a joy capturing their family. Let’s not forget how beautiful they were as they adored their baby girl. Most of my clients don’t have actual newborn photography ideas and props for their baby’s session.
However, most of my clients don’t also have a heartbreaking story either.
The beautiful yellow wrap baby girl is wearing here was actually purchased for her sister, Summer’s, newborn session. It was never used as Summer passed away shortly after birth. This newborn photography idea was because Mom and Dad wanted to honor Summer’s memory by using the wrap.
As the session continues we focus on each parent with baby.
My favorite images to capture during a newborn photo session are ones with mom and baby. That sweet bond between mother and child, the love and snuggles of a mother holding her baby in her arms, those are the moments I love to capture.
Their nursery was beautiful! I loved how girlie it was without being completely in your face. It had beautiful details, with pops of pink. And what better to remember the nursery then a picture of mom and dad adoring their baby girl in it?!
Another of the ideas for your newborn photography session is to capture the details of baby.
