When one of my clients asks if I want to photograph her family again, I’m thrilled. It means they loved their photos and their experience with me last time. However, when a past client asks if I would take maternity photos of her with her sister and brother-in-law, I am honored. You see, this maternity session was unlike anything I have ever done before. This was a surrogacy maternity session, where one sister is carrying twins for her sister and brother-in-law. It is such a beautiful act of love on both sides of this story.
Making this even more special, the couple had traveled from New York. We had only a couple of days to fit in their session. There were lots of prayers and willingness to be flexible. After weeks of rain, the skies opened up and the sun shined for one day while they were here. This family kept me on my toes, making me laugh the entire time, and together we created art out of this beautiful story of theirs.
