The hardest part of my pregnancies with my kids was our decision to not find out the gender, but let me tell you it was worth the wait.
Back in high school, this mama and I were inseparable. We, along with Derek (my husband) and another close friend, were the three amigos and a boyfriend. (I bet she’s excited I remembered that.) I have been capturing her family since her daughter was 6 months old, and was so honored when she asked me to come take newborn photos for her. What made this even more special was that they waited until delivery to find out the gender. There’s a special place in my heart for anyone else who can manage the patience it takes to do that! But Mr. A was worth the wait. Isn’t he just too precious? (I always come home from newborn sessions ready to have another! Luckily Derek talks sense into me, that if we had a newborn every time I photographed a family with newborns, we’d have a LOT of babies!)
His big sister was so adorable. She wasn’t very interested in doing a photo session. In fact, this about sums up her feelings towards taking another photo.
However, we did get the most precious family portrait. I can imagine this as a canvas on their walls. Look how sweet big sister is!
Mom and dad were pretty smitten with him too.
Mr. A, as all newborns do, ran the show. He did not want to stay swaddled, he kept escaping at least one arm. But how sweet is he?
Congrats on your sweet baby boy. I had a wonderful time photographing him and your beautiful family of 4!
