Tool belts, tricycles, and airplanes. Three things that have topped the chart of importance for the kids. If you recall, Milo loves to help fix things. He did have a Handy Manny Birthday party, after all! For his birthday, Grandpa Mike got him a real, big boy, tool belt. Both kids have loved wearing it around the house (even if they aren’t wearing clothes, the tool belt is on one of them). I love how Milo ensures to have his hammer on him, ready for anything.
Tricycles have also been big. Milo received a new tricycle for his birthday. We decided to try it out on the driveway instead of just around the house. Note that he’s wearing his tool belt while riding his tricycle. It’s a little too big for him to reach the peddles, but he scoots along okay. Typically he gets to the end of the driveway and then is done (meaning mom gets to ride it back to the garage).
We have another tricycle from when Milo was younger. We used to push him around, but had forgotten about it until Sawyer found it and demanded to go riding. The nice thing about the green tricycle is that I can buckle her in, keeping her from standing on the seat while moving at “warp speeds” down the road.
Airplanes seem to fly over regularly. Sawyer is at a stage where she squeals with delight and points to the sky any and every time one flies over. Of course, one flew over while we were riding bikes and I had not buckled her in. What seemed harmless, lead to her standing on the seat. At which point, I had to put the camera down and strap her back in!
Tool belts, tricycles, and airplanes. Three things that come to mind when I think of my kids this week. What 3 things come to mind for your kids? Have you tried capturing them? As I’m sure you know, those 3 things don’t stay forever. Take the time to photograph the everyday!
