Lately, my house is full of toddlers running circles. Running circles around the living room, running circles around the dining room table. Running circles around me. They don’t just run, they push things, too. So it’s loud! Milo pushes his shopping cart while Sawyer pushes her baby in a stroller. I love how she puts her baby and bottle in the stroller. Milo has started to show his soon-to-be–a-3-year-old colors. He’s fast and ready to go, no matter who might be in his way. It means I play referee to keep his sister safe. But this morning, he was running circles around the dining room table nicely.I don’t know if it is because she didn’t do a lot of cruising when she was learning to walk, or what, but she has to work pretty hard to push her stroller. Usually she’s pushing it sideways, but this time she had everything in order. This is one of my favorite images from documenting this stage in their life. Sawyer’s so happy and you can see Milo coming in the background, with a big smile on his face. A sweet moment of running circles together.
It doesn’t matter how old your kids are (2 or 22), you capture the stage that they are in right now. I can honestly say that I have never regretted getting the camera out and taking photos of my family. I’m the historian for my family, I’m telling their story. You can do the same!
P.S. It’s so much easier to capture moments like these when you know how to use your camera. Spend the day with me and learn how to use your camera.
