A family session where there are photos with Grandma from India – I love my job! I have captured this family for several years, and I’ve even met Grandma before. I love that they cherish time with her in town and want to capture her and the grandkids together. Making the session even better were the traditional Indian outfits, so full of color and beauty!
This little girl holds a special place in my heart. She’s a tiny bit younger than Milo, and I have loved photographing her through the years. She is such a cutie too! Look at that smile!
When big sister was about his age we did a shot in this same spot in their house. Mom and Dad wanted to do a similar shot of their boy to hang by his sister’s. Such a fun idea to show them at similar ages!
If you have a preschooler you know that you never know what you’re going to get. When the big camera comes out they can be shy, not want to sit still, or sometimes they will do everything I ask (not often does that happen). This young lady was so full of spirit. She was in such a pretty dress, I asked if she would twirl around. And she just lit up. I also love that she has a lollipop in her hands!
It is in those “in-between” moments that I often take my favorite photographs during a session. In the image below, dad was getting ready to dress baby boy in a new outfit. Their interaction was too sweet to not keep clicking my shutter.
I am so grateful to this family for continually inviting me into their home to capture their family. I love that I was able to take photos with Grandma from India too!
