Winter sessions in Washington are always subject to Mother Nature. Just before the holidays, this extended family braved the cold for some photos on the dock! The entire family was a part of this session, even the furry family members!
While everyone was making their way down to the water, I couldn’t help but snap a picture of this young lady by the water. It felt like such a calm, quiet moment to herself.
Despite the cold, the fall colors had not quite left the trees. I’m SO glad this family dealt with the wind and cold, so that we could get a shot like this one.
And then they really braved the wind for photos on a dock. I always ask the family to forget about me and talk to one another. I think the cold even helped them snuggle in close and I was proud to capture such a sweet moments.
A unique part of this session was that both moms were expecting little ones! So we had to take some individual family shots. I love this shot of this young lady hugging her mama and baby sister.
You can’t forget the cousins shot either! Shortly after this was taken, their family was going to double the number of cousins! I hope these girls appreciate having a few shots of just the two of them.
This session was so much fun. Extended family’s can be a challenge, but this family was such a blast. No one complained about the cold and was up for anything. They also introduced me to a new favorite location for photos!
Since then I know at least one mama has welcomed a baby boy into the family! Congrats on your little one. I can’t wait to meet him!
