Your baby changes so much in the first year. No matter if it is your first baby or your sixth baby, the changes and grow during your child’s first year is so amazing to watch. Baby goes from a tiny newborn, to a smiling 3 month old baby, to a rolling, scooting, crawling and pulling up baby.
With your baby changing so much you may decide you want more than simply newborn and one year old photos to document your child. This is where the Baby’s First Year Milestone sessions come in.
These 30-minute sessions are perfect for documenting photos of baby’s 1st year. Because only you know the perfect timing, I have no limits to how many you can do in a year, nor when you do them. (This sweet baby was 2.5 months old and did another around 9 months old)
Although typical times for milestone sessions are 3, 6, & 9 months, you may decide that 2.5 months is better, or 7 months when baby is fully sitting up on her own, or maybe 9 months so that you are out of winter and can do photos outside. It’ is up to you.
Please note that milestone sessions are only available for clients who book either newborn or 1st year sessions. You must book one full session with a milestone session, though you may do multiple milestone sessions after that full session is booked.
So what do we capture at a milestone session for a 3 month old baby?
Milestone sessions capture your smiley, snuggly 3 month old baby.
Those early sweet smiles are the best feeling. You cannot get enough of your baby smiles. They feel like a gift. We will document those smiles and more during your baby’s session as you love on your baby.
As baby is small, you will snuggle in and love on your baby. This is the best way to capture those smiles and the way she fits right in your arms.
These sessions can capture where your family does life together.
For the early months, I typically recommend we do milestone sessions in your home. Keeping a 3 month old baby warm and comfortable in her own home will make for a better session. Plus you will not have to worry about forgetting the favorite toy or if there is an outfit blow out just before your session starts.
Milestone sessions capture the entire family.
Just because baby is the star of the show does not mean mom, dad, and any siblings (even the furry ones) can’t be included. You will all be in the frame, and if your pup is snuggled up nearby, he’s sure to get photographed too.
As mentioned above, babies, especially the younger ones, respond best to mom and dad.
