One of my first sessions back from maternity leave had me photographing family. I’m sure you’re thinking, don’t you always photograph families? I mean, it had me photographing my family! When my cousin asked me to capture her kids and grandkids (because they would all be home for Easter!), I was honored. However, let’s be honest. A little terrified too! I didn’t want to let my own family down, and capturing extended family photos is no walk in the park. There are lots of people to capture their attention, coordinate and photograph. Yet, I had nothing to worry about. Photographing family was wonderful. Just look at them. They look like pros. Such a gorgeous group!Remember this cutie? I captured her and her brothers and sister at last years Back to School Mini Sessions. Of course, she was just as cute as ever. And all so eager to be photographed!
Here’s the rest of her family! Her mom and I used to spend summers playing together. We had many adventures! It was fun to see mom’s current adventure – raising this beautiful family.
I had shown this photo as a sneak peek on Facebook, because I just love mom’s expression. Those young men love their mama, and she loves them. Such a sweet moment to capture!
Let’s not forget this handsome fella! I loved getting to meet him for the first time. And a baby dressed up? Too adorable.
That’s a gorgeous group of cousins there. That’s one lucky grandma!
This one might be my favorite from the entire session. I had told the kids to tell each other a secret. For some, that meant sticking their tongues out!
Thank you for entrusting me with capturing your family. It was so wonderful seeing everyone!
