Sawyer is my little mermaid. She has loved swim lessons. She gets so excited if she sees her swim suit. A few days she has worn it for the day because I made the mistake of laying it out early! Derek and I take turns taking her to class. I decided to go on a day Derek took her so that I could capture my little mermaid!
I didn’t have my camera out, but I grabbed a quick photo with my phone of them walking in together. She was so sweet in her Minnie Mouse cover up, holding onto dad’s hand! They start class with back floating. While Milo hates being on his back, Sawyer doesn’t mind it. They are supposed to put the doll on their tummy to focus on, but she likes to look at the ceiling and the lane flags.
Then it is time to throw Pooh and go after him. She just cracks up and gets so excited. I love her big smile here!
She got Pooh and she was so proud!
They use this big floating mat for the kids to swim under. I love how Sawyer is bracing for the impact of the water fountain up ahead!
Sawyer’s favorite part of class is the end where they get to jump in. She gets so excited and runs down the plank. After her turn, she can’t wait to go again and tries to swim to the front of the line. You have to love her tongue out as she prepares to jump (okay, walk off the end)!
Sadly, swim lessons are over this session. We will have to get our kiddie pool out on hot days!
