January not only brings the new year, but it brings the birthdays of two of my favorite people – Marilee, my mother in law, and Brianna, my dear friend! Both of these celebrations called for cupcake baking and photographs! Of course, only the cupcakes were willing participants in the photo session, so I focused mainly on the food! For Marilee, Derek and I made German Chocolate Cupcakes, and for Brianna, we made a marble cupcake with peppermint frosting. The marble cupcake was a lot of fun to make – you swirl the two batters together before baking. Plus, it is super delicious – one of my new favorite vegan cupcakes!
