Last Christmas we got Sawyer a little picnic basket. Recently, she started carrying her picnic basket everywhere she goes, putting all kinds of things inside. The way she plays with her basket is a perfect example of a defining detail that I wanted to capture. (Learn more about defining details from my published article here!) With the Christmas tree up, it’s like she’s having a holiday picnic!
Sawyer will open and close the lid, put something inside, take it out, over and over again. The basket sings songs every time she does this, so I find myself with silly little jingles stuck in my head.
After a while, she will pick up the basket and move to another location and start again. I love how this image shows how she holds the basket and how big the basket is compared to her. I know that she won’t play with this toy forever, but I’m glad I took the time to capture her with it right now.
If you think your little one might like to have a holiday picnic, this toy is the LeapFrog Shapes Basket!
