In celebration of Milo’s 3rd birthday, we held a Handy Manny Birthday Bash! Okay, it wasn’t really a “bash” but it was quite the party! I love parties, it brings people together and you are reminded how blessed you truly are. Milo’s party was no exception, there were so many wonderful family and friends who came to celebrate the birth of my sweet boy to the tune of a Handy Manny Birthday Bash!
Of course, I had to dress Milo up like Handy Manny! I just love how handsome his is, tool belt and all! He’s been excitedly wearing his Handy Manny hat since it arrived. It not only is just like Manny’s but it “blocks the sun” which is very important for a true Pacific Northwesterner.
What good is a Handy Manny Birthday party without a workshop? So we set up Milo’s workshop. While I was taking detail photos, before the guests arrived Milo was pretty excited about the juice boxes as we don’t get them regularly.
As favors the kids received their own tool box filled with fun goodies, like tool bubbles, Handy Manny Stickers, Mr. Lopart’s Candies, and even a tool of their own (don’t worry, they were plastic!).
Cupcakes are a big deal in our house. Milo asks for them anytime I offer to let him help me bake. For his party, I made both chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. I was rather proud of my piping skills on these cupcakes! Cupcake Wars, here I come! Oh, and no one even noticed they were vegan! Shhh, don’t tell.
On the vanilla cupcakes I had my favorite cupcake topper company, Harriet’s House of Cakes, make custom Handy Manny toppers. Aren’t they so adorable?! They featured his favorite tools, Pat, Turner, Philippe and, of course, Manny.
Grandpa Bob (or Grandpa Bob the Builder as Milo calls him) built toolboxes just like Manny’s for display. Milo was so cute carrying one around like he was off to fix something.
I was impressed with Sawyer. She did so well with all of the people, and with her not being the center of attention like she prefers. Before the party, I caught her snuggling with my mom. They are so precious together.
She did perk up for some juice and cupcakes though. All of the boys were sat on one side of the table. I’m sure she’s making a face at something they are doing!
The kids had some coloring sheets, and one of Milo’s friends did such a beautiful job coloring his. He even signed it with Happy Birthday and gave it to Milo! Too sweet.
I handed off the camera to a friend and just LOVE this image she captured of us just after Milo blew out the candles. Everyone looks so happy, with Milo the center of focus.
Then it was time for presents. Everyone was so generous and kind, we are so grateful. I love how kids always circle around to see what the guest of honor is receiving. Everyone’s excitement is so apparent!
Grandma Marilee got Milo this adorable tricycle. He was not quite sure of it at first, but he scoots around on it all the time now! His favorite thing to do is put toys, or snacks, on the back of it as he travels around! I’m sure that I will be borrowing Milo’s tricycle for photo sessions!
Overall, Milo’s Handy Manny Birthday Bash was a success! Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time, and I know that Milo felt extra special! I guess it is time to start planning Sawyer’s party (or maybe my own. I hear a big number is coming up soon….)

I love your ideas for the Handy Manny party and your son is ADORABLE! My 2.5 yr old loves Handy Manny and I am wanting to dress him up for Halloween and probably do his b-day party using the theme in Jan. I have been all over the web and am having a hard time finding the shirt and hat. Where did you get yours?
