It’s already that time, for another round of Confidence Workshop Teacher’s Blog Circle! Last month was my first time participating in the blog circle, and I just loved it! I loved seeing how each teacher interpreted “transition” differently, what it meant for each one of them. I can’t wait to read them this month!
Comfort. This word can take so many forms for me. It is not only something that you can seek from objects- comfort food, comfortable clothes, comfy blankie – but is something you can find in people. Both of my children find comfort in their daddy. Sawyer finds comfort high atop her father’s shoulders. It doesn’t matter that she’s high off the ground and can fall. She doesn’t even hold on for support. She find full comfort in him.
Recently, Milo wanted to try using the “big boy swing” at our house. He, like his sister, finds comfort knowing his father is there to support him.
And, what about me? I find comfort in my family and friends. Life with two young children is quite the adventure. But with all of the challenges come some pretty amazing moments and that brings me comfort in times of struggle (like the middle of the night with a crying baby). Like my children, I find comfort in my husband’s presence. As I look to the future and walk along the path of today, I know that I have him by my side. (This beautiful family photo was taken by Miss Freddy!)
Finally, I find comfort in the other CONFIDENCE workshop teachers. (I wish I had a photo of all of us). This weekend is my first workshop (yippee!), and these women have been amazing in offering support, encouragement, and ideas. It is like having 19 sisters who are there to cheer you on and give you hugs whenever you need it. That brings me tremendous comfort as I officially start this new journey on Saturday!
Head on over to the talented, Amy Rhodes’ blog to see her interpretation of “Comfort.”
P.S. November weekends are filling up fast. Only 3 more spots available to make sure you get your photos in time for the holidays!
