Hi, I'm Neyssa

As I recently shared, my family just returned from California. We started the trip at Disneyland, and then headed further south to San Diego. Honestly, I was feeling bummed when we left Disneyland. But once we arrived in San Diego, I realized how much fun we had left in our vacation! We met up with one of my closest friends and her family. Two of the days we visited the San Diego Zoo. It is a great zoo, Milo had so much fun looking at the animals! One of my favorite enclosures was the giraffes – partially because there were two babies!San Diego Zoo is known for it’s panda exhibits, and there is a reason. Just look how close you are to the pandas!

We also enjoyed seeing the polar bear and flamingos (okay, we loved all of the zoo)! Check out the sign below. If you know my son, that is perfect for him. He is a little sensitive and will cry if something (Eli) is too loud. Poor guy! What a beautiful families, huh?!
After busy days in Disneyland and the zoo, it was nice to just play on the beach. We were fortunate enough to stay at the Navy Lodge, which was right on the beach!
We all loved playing in the waves, but only for a little while because that water was cold! The sunsets were so beautiful. This is one of my favorite images of my boy, playing in the sand as the sun faded behind him.

Overall, our first big family vacation was a complete success. Sure there were meltdowns and a few night wakings, but the kids were amazing, really. It was so nice to have a “Grammie and PopPop,” even if they weren’t my kids officially grandparents, both kids adored them. I have a feeling there will be many more joint family vacations for us!
