A Hooting Good Time {A Personal Post}

This past weekend two of my closest friends threw a baby shower for me. The theme was owls, perfect since that is Baby Lee’s room theme as well. Brianna and Lyndsey are super talented when it comes to planning and catering parties. Yet, I couldn’t have been more surprised when I walked in the door and saw what an amazing job they did. Since the shower was an evening shower, they stuck with mostly desserts (no complaints from this pregnant lady!). The centerpiece featured a ceramic owl Lyndsey painted as an example. Another table held more owls for guests to add their own personal touches to. These owls will go into the baby’s nursery! Look at all of those yummy desserts. And they were yummy. Even a guest’s husband (who was dropping her off) was impressed – though he couldn’t get over the fact that the entire spread was vegan.Strawberry shortcake cupcakes! Yum, Yum!Aren’t these too cute? Chocolate cupcakes – but they look like owls!Lyndsey and her 3-year old made these adorable boxes for guests to take home!Thanks dad, for taking some pictures of me, mom and my two best friends.Doesn’t my mom have the best smile! I can hear her contagious laugh just looking at this picture!

Thank you to all of my friends and family who came to the shower! I feel so blessed to have so many great people in my life who will be there as Milo and new baby Lee grow up.
