Fresh from maternity leave I got to capture this handsome 7 month old baby boy. There is nothing like photographing a 7 month old baby boy to remind you how quickly that first year goes! Wasn’t I just capturing his newborn photos? Or his 3 month photos? I’m sure that is why his parents wanted help documenting the details of his first year. I’m so honored too. Because if you know his parents, you know they are the nicest people you could ever meet.
The beginning of our session started out capturing some of this baby boy’s favorite things. He was so focused on me, though, I just love those deep brown eyes staring up at me! Such a cutie!
I love to get parents involved in milestone sessions, because you get images like this. Dad is a surrounding comfort, while this fellow “chats” with his mom. I can still hear his ahhhh sounds when I look at this photo!
What a sweet smile and happy parents we have here!
Mom and Dad wanted to include baby boy’s favorite book. I love how they are reading together. Although, some young man was very “helpful” in turning the pages. Luckily, Dad seemed to know the stories by heart!
A little serious face! But I love how mom’s legs frame him, showing her presence and also his size!
Mom had a great idea for the end of our shoot. She wanted me to capture feeding time. 6-7 months is typically when babies start eating, so this was the perfect detail to photograph this session. He was very excited about eating! But this first shot as mom was getting set up was a favorite of mine. He took a sip and I clicked a photo. He then looked at me like “why are you photographing me drinking?!” 
Thank you for your patience with his 6 (that turned into 7) month photo session while I was on leave! I loved capturing him at this fun age!
