Gather your favorite holiday photo because it is time for the 3rd Annual Holiday Photo Contest!
Before I get on with the details, I want to start with a huge thank you to all of the families who allowed me into your homes, into your lives, even for just a little bit, to capture you as you are. I had the honor of capturing brand new babies, watch a few babies grow over the year, seen kids grow from toddlers into “big kids”, captured the joy of several extended families, and had the pleasure of photographing fine art school portraits for three schools. I started teaching two new workshops, and had the pleasure of watching women soar as they learned to use their camera to capture their daily lives. It has been a year of growth for me as a photographer and a business owner. And I thank you all for being a part of it this year. I am so excited for what 2016 will bring. I have big personal goals (like a 365 project!) and business goals (new workshops, new logo) for 2016 and I can’t wait for you to see what is in store for this year.
Back to the Holiday Photo Contest. Let’s celebrate the New Year by showing off your favorite photo from the holidays.
The Details: Email your favorite photo from this past holiday season to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include a caption for your photo. You must have taken the photo yourself. *
Deadline: All photos must be received by midnight PST, Saturday, January 9th, 2016.
How it Works: This year, there will be two winners. One winner will be determined by Facebook “likes.” Make sure you are sharing the contest, but that all likes must be on the image on my Facebook page, not on the shared image. The second winner I will choose based on who I feel has best captured the spirit of the holidays.
Prizes: Both winners will receive a $50 Neyssa Lee Photography studio credit and a professional 11×14 print of their winning image. As an added bonus, submit an image by Sunday, January 3rd to save $25 on my newest online photography workshop, Story Teller.
Rules: You must have taken the photo you submit. By submitting the photo, you agree to allow me to use your photo on my website and Facebook page. Only one entry per person. Winner is responsible for picking up prizes and/or shipping if required.
I can’t wait to see all of your entries! Here’s a few of my favorites from Christmas morning with my family.
Milo was the first up. I love this quiet moment between father and son, before the chaos of present opening began.
The kids picked out this Lego set for Derek for Christmas. Milo was just as excited as daddy. A few other favorite moments Christmas morning. Like sweet Hudson looking up at daddy, and Derek’s face of pure joy when he opened his final gift – a guy’s golf weekend at Bandon Dunes this spring. And Derek captured this perfect moment of Sawyer opening her gift. It shows the love, and chaos, that is Christmas morning with three littles.
Here’s wishing everyone a Happy New Year. I can’t wait to see your Holiday Photo Contest entries!
